Does ONDULINE HR®  crack and corrupt in hot and cold weathers?
ONDULINE HR® sheets may be applied both in the most cold and most hot and humid climates easily. No problems have been encountered in applications made in areas where the temperature is +50°C under shadow and in regions where the cold is almost -50°C.
ONDULINE HR® sheets shall be waited for 24 hours in places where it is going to be applied at a temperature of above +5°C and shall be applied afterwards at a level of more than +5 °C. Our factories in Brazil, Malaysia and Russia are indicators that ONDULINE HR® is applied widely both in hot and cold climates.

Does ONDULINE HR® ‘s color change?
A few months after application, the bitumen on the sheet which has been applied as a thin film layer peels with natural effects and then the sheet takes its real color. However, just as it is the case in most paints, the paint of ONDULINE HR® also gets affected by UV rays.

Due to the fact that it has a spaced structure, roofers can easily walk on it because they step on the sheet joints and places where the nails are located. However, people other than roofers should place wooden boards and walk on them.

Does ONDULINE HR®  penetrate heat or cold? In other words, does it provide heat insulation?
ONDULINE HR® is not a heat insulation material.
Heat insulation is related with the materials heat conductivity coefficient and thickness. Due to the fact that ONDULINE HR®’s heat conductivity coefficient is low it cannot provide heat insulation because its thickness is low.
In case that heat insulation is required, underside the ONDULINE HR®, a heat insulation material with required thickness and at least 18 kg/m3 density should be placed and applied afterwards.
In case that the heat insulation is placed between the beams, the heat insulation material can be at any density.

Is ONDULINE HR®  brittle?
ONDULINE HR® is a flexible material. It can be bent 900 along its conduits. And it can be bent at a radius of 5.00 m. perpendicularly to its conduits. It shall be slightly heated in cold weathers prior to bending.

Does ONDULINE HR®  corrupt?
It definitely does not corrupt and is not affected of any chemical material by which bitumen is not affected as well.

Is water insulation required underneath ONDULINE HR® ?
